1. How do I care for my pearls?
- Pearls are porous and must be kept separately from other jewellery wrapped in a soft cloth or pouch. They need moisture so don’t keep them in an airtight container.Avoid pearls coming into contact with beauty products such as lotions and perfume, as it may deteriorate the surface of the pearl.
- To clean your pearls, gently wipe them with a warm damp cloth after each wear. You should wash your peals periodically with mild soap (NOT detergent) and a soft cloth. Then rinse them in clean water and wrap in a damp cotton towel to dry. If the pearls are especially dirty, wipe the pearl with acetone polish remover. Acetone will not hurt pearls. DO NOT use jewellery cleaners with ammonia or vinegar in them.
- It is also recommended you have your pearls restrung every two years to ensure they are secure.

2. How do I clean my gem stones?
- All gemstones have different make up, therefore it can be tricky to know how to safely clean them at home. Some gemstones are softer than others therefore you should avoid exposing them to jewellery cleaners. It is recommended to take your gemstone jewellery to your local jeweller for a professional clean at least once a year.
